Tumimperas Waterfall is located South of Tomohon City, about 35 km from Manado the Capital City of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The distance from downtown Tomohon is 7 km, it’s easily reachable by car or public transportation. This waterfall is 70 m high plus lovely atmosphere enchant you. It is located in the beautiful village called Pinaras where people always smile and friendly, the typical of the Minahasan. There are lots of traditional activities that can be seen all day long, like farmer plowing the field with traditional tools, Mapalus (cooperation for mutual benefits take turn working in field) either by men’s group or woman’s group to sustain the prosperity of the People. Mapalus is the traditional way of working together left by Minahasan ancestors to make easier doing the work. It is the way of working together takes turn from one follower group to the other the next day. It keeps going on till everybody gets their turn. No matter how hard or difficult the task, it can be done by Mapalus. When entering the village, there are displays of the beauty with rice field, variety of crops like; corn, ground peanut, cinnamon, and vanilla plus volcano panorama. In the village there are many flower placed and hanging inside or outside of the traditional wooden house that always attract the entire visitor. Along the journey there are greetings from the children; song bird and flying butterfly too, welcome you to this village. Soon after parking the car, the nature views are waiting you to adore it. Step out and immediately you hear the sound of the water drops to indicate the waterfall is so close, only two minutes away! Explore the trek to waterfall as an exercise before trekking volcano or diving and snorkeling. Keep going and you will step to the point where the water drops and shortly become waterfall. This waterfall has a big quantity with clear water and lovely atmosphere. That’s always amazing to see! Step on to the stairs that lead you to the viewpoint of the stunning waterfall. Look inside the shady branch of the tree that display of the gorgeous waterfall. That makes it so nice to enjoy for along time in order to release any burden in our live. Stay longer exploring the beauty of nature by seeing giant stone in the vicinity of the water drops with king fisher bird singing. Unite with decorated moss valley all surrounded the wall of the waterfall. Experience the great nature of the area with so many trees, wild flowers growing in the cliff. It is possible also to walk down to the point of water drops and feel the breezy from the waterfall, go and get wet, feel the nature calls.
